WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congresswoman Nanette Barragán (CA-44) released the below statement regarding the horrific terrorist attack against Israel.
“I am shocked, appalled, and angered by the scenes and reports coming out of Israel. My heart breaks for the Israeli people who have to live through this terror – and my thoughts and prayers are with the Israelis who have been killed, injured, or taken hostage.
“The terrorists from Hamas started an unprovoked war against Israel and her people. Every nation should be outraged and condemn these terrorists. Israel has a right to defend itself from this brutal assault on the Israeli people and their sovereign homeland. I pray that Israel can quickly bring peace and security to her people.
“The American people and the United States Congress stand ready to support our friend and ally, Israel.”
