Barragán Statement On House Republican Decision To Pull Trumpcare Vote

Washington, D.C.- U.S. Rep. Nanette Diaz Barragán (CA-44) released the following statement in response to House Republicans last minute decision to pull TrumpCare vote:

“Today, we claimed victory for millions of Americans- children, women, veterans, and seniors who under TrumpCare would have lost healthcare coverage or suffered a tax increase. This victory is a testament to the strength of the American people who rallied together against a bill that would hurt our vulnerable citizens. Thank you to all of those in California’s 44th who called and wrote to me with your concerns about TrumpCare. Your voice was heard in Congress today. However, our work does not stop here. We must continue to make quality affordable healthcare accessible to many more Americans. The Affordable Care Act has helped 20 million Americans gain healthcare coverage, but we can make it stronger. That is why, I will continue to work in Congress to make sure healthcare is a not a privilege for the few, but a right for all Americans.”
