WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Nanette Barragán (CA-44) released the following statement to recognize Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

“Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month is a chance to celebrate the immense contributions and rich histories of the AANHPI communities across the United States,” said Rep. Barragán. “I am proud to represent such a large and diverse community of AANHPIs that call California’s 44th District home. That is why I am a member of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, where we are committed to uplifting the unique voices and challenges of the AANHPI community at the federal level not just in May, but every month. As we continue to fight for equality in all forms, let us continue to recognize and raise awareness of all the diverse cultures that make our country stronger. Happy AANHPI Heritage Month!”
