Rep. Barragán Elected Second Vice-Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Nanette Diaz Barragán  (CA-44) was elected by her colleagues to serve as the Second Vice-Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus for the next Congress. In her leadership role, the Congresswoman is expected to serve as Acting Chair in the absence of both the Chair and First Vice-Chair.

 

“I am grateful to my CHC colleagues for giving me the opportunity to serve in leadership as the next Second Vice-Chair,” said Rep. Barragán. “The CHC is the frontline in combating the Trump Administration’s assault on our Hispanic communities, and as the next Second Vice-Chair, I intend to continue the fight in addressing issues such as family separation, comprehensive immigration reform, access to healthcare and assisting our brothers and sisters with the rebuilding efforts of Puerto Rico.”
