El Segundo Blvd\, Los Angeles\, CA 90061. \nJoin me as we honor the achievements and contributions of black visionaries impacting the 44th Congressional District:\n– Dr. Theresa Price\, National College Resources Foundation\n– Officer Deon Joseph\, Los Angeles Police Department\n– Rosie Lee Hooks\, Watts Towers Art Center\n– Dr. David Carlisle\, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science\n– Mary Lawson\, President of the City of Compton Commission for Women\n– Dr. John Davis\, Cal State Dominguez Hills College of Education \nThis year’s theme\, Together We Rise\, was chosen to emphasize the prevailing thought that our community’s strength lies in our unity.
